Have you ever seen those Facebook or Instagram ads that have A LOT of comments and likes? Your first thought is, “OMG this person/company must be killing it!”
Today I’m going to teach you how to share social proof across your ads (so your likes and comments are seen in all your campaigns) and the strategy behind it!
Start by testing 2 different ads to an engagement campaign using your warm audiences such as email lists, website traffic, and engagement. Our main goal with this ad is to get as many likes and comments as possible, and the people who are most likely to take action on this are your warm audiences. Test for at least 3 days and see which one performed better.

Take the ad that performed the best (most likes and comments) and duplicate it into a campaign where you want to target cold audiences (people who don’t know you (yet!) or turn it into a conversions campaign where you want to get more leads or sales. When you duplicate the ad WITHOUT changing anything, the likes and comments will carry over into the new campaign!
There are 2 reasons why this will take your ads strategy to the next level:
- Facebook will reward you for having great social proof and will give you lower CPMs and CPCs.
- You are giving your new audiences a trust factor when they see all the engagement in your ads, so they are more likely to engage with your brand and take action.
